Why the Ministry and What are its Aims?

Unequally yoked wives are spiritually isolated in many ways. They need to learn principles taught in the Word of God. They need special instructions to apply to their everyday lives. They need to link up with other women who have a “soul” identity with their problems and concerns.

Therefore the purpose of coming together as a group is to link up with others in a similar marriage situation. To encourage and support each other in prayer and in the study of God’s Word. To receive counsel when they face sad and difficult problems which make them feel confused. Confidentiality and loyalty to their husbands is a must in the groups. Bonding will grow out of sharing, love and trust. We want the ministry to be available to any Christian woman who is married to a husband who does not yet know the Lord.

1. She is a believer living in a marriage with a husband who does not yet know the Lord.
2. She is a believer living in a marriage with a husband who is a Christian, but who has turned away from the Lord and is living in disobedience.
3. She is a believer who was unequally-yoked in marriage, but who is now separated or divorced, and who still has a heart for her husband’s salvation.

The ministry mandate is:

1. To build the body of Christ (the Christian woman)
2. To evangelise the lost (her husband)
3. To bring awareness  in the church, of the specific needs of the Christian woman married to a husband who does not know the Lord.

1 Peter 3:1–4

Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behaviour of their wives, when they see the purity and reverence of your lives. Your beauty should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit which is of great worth in God’s sight.
