Prayer Guidance

Prayer is a vitally important part of every Christian’s walk with God. Sometimes it can be useful to have prayer guides for ideas of how to begin your conversation with God, what to thank him for and what requests to make of him. Understanding how God responds to prayer with His great wisdom is a key factor in your faith-journey. Below are some ideas for prayer for wives and husbands as well as some prayer requests for Wives Support Group Ministry.

Thank you for praying

1. Prayers for each woman

  • Praise for God’s faithfulness.
  • That her love for the Lord will grow, and her actions each day will prove her love for Him.
  • For her prayer life.
  • That by an act of faith, she will choose to live on the basis of who she is in Christ, not on the basis of her feelings.
  • Her victory in Christ.
  • Her witness in her home.
  • Her submission to Christ and to her husband.
  • Her motherhood.
  • Her commitment to the group and to be able to attend regularly.
  • Her church/pastor.
  • For those who are not able to attend groups that they will not grow weary or discouraged.
  • Opportunity to meet with Group Leaders and other Christians.
  • For Pastor’s sensitivity towards unequally yoked women.
  • For protection over all unequally yoked marriages.

2. Prayers for each husband

  • Praise for answers to prayer.
  • Continual prayer for SALVATION, ask the Lord for a burden for the husband’s salvation.

Six Steps

  1. Believe. The Word says it, so this belongs to you. Acts 16:31
  2. Door of utterance that another man will plant the seed and the Word in their hearts for the Holy Spirit to water and nourish. Col 4:3
  3. Hunger and thirst after righteousness that only the Lord Jesus can give them this hunger for spiritual things and more of Him. Matt 5:6
  4. Drawn unto the Father for only God the Father can draw them into submission by His Spirit. John 6:44, 14:6
  5. Committal and this is the key to success. When someone is committed to the Lord he must be left in the Lord’s hands. Do not fret, question, be anxious. You are tied by your unbelief. Faith is believing before you see it. Heb 11:6
  6. God has begun His work and so from the day of committal begin to thank Him each day, repeating each scripture key. Exodus 14:13–14
  • His work to remain stable and those that are unemployed that they will find work.
  • For the Lord to raise a Christian witness in his workplace.
  • His role as the head of the house.
  • As he goes through trials, that God would draw him to Himself and that he will not grow discouraged and despairing.
  • Praise for the husbands attending church regularly.
  • Praise for others who have attended church and other functions sometimes and have heard the gospel.
  • For those who have heard the gospel but have rejected it and now are aggressive towards God.
  • For those caught in evolution teaching, humanism, spirit of lust/pornography, spirit of rejection, alcohol and substance abuse and low self esteem.
